I saw it, had to do it. I'm almost obsessed with this show currently. I was worried it would lose it's appeal in the second season and start to go into too much character development too quickly, but I think it's doing alright... oh yeah, am alive, will update more later :)

I'm thinking about watching a Knight's Tale on tv tonight because Alan is in it and is amusing (the guy who plays Wash in Firefly).

On other news the net is back, though could go again at any time. Stupid telstra crapheads. We don't even have our isp with them and they still cause us to have issues by not fixing a faulty line for a month

I eat meat, whether you consider this a fault or not is personal opinion and I respect that. I respect whether or not others eat meat...

I think this is why I find the 'meat, we were meant to eat it' a big pile of offensive propaganda bullshit. I can't believe they want to expose kids to that and brain wash them into not being vege/vegan. Bah to stupid marketing shite. I'm going to make sure as alex grows he has a choice in whether he wants to eat meat or not andis educated that he doesn't have to eat it despite what various companies say and that he can eat alternate foods to replace what the meat provides and so forth.

But then I also make him eat thai food, curries (mild though!) and all sorts of things, including stuff I don't like, so he knows there is a lot of range and variety out there. He's already been exposed to vegetarian and vegan food already, and according to the meat people's ads I'm damning his brain development by doing it!. Bah to them

I just read a poll that shat me cranky. It wanted people to vote if they believe the death penalty should be used for convicted child killers. Of course the majority answer is yes. Now I remember a time not too long ago when Australia was cranky about one of our own being put to death OS and how death penalty was wrong blah blah. Two points Australia:
* If death penalty is wrong then why are you voting yes?
* The point about the child killing is why that country still has drug crimes under capital punishment! People die from it and it has a devastating effect, including children. That country made comments about drug use in children and schools.

So if it was bad for them to do it, then why do we think 'yay' when we have it suggested to us?

Have flu - again. Last weekend I had alex's lurgy, this weekend one from work.

work is good in that it is still going so far which is good. Trial doesn't end until tuesday, though they may extend it. The environment is good too, and while I am making some mistakes that is what training is all about is ti not? I can't be perfect from the get go and they seem to understand this.

Have rented some movies. Ocean's 12 was a bit of a let down compared to the first which I really enjoyed. I also didn't like the lack of 'suave' the second one had. Elektra wasn't as crap as I thought it would be. Despite my love of psylocke, I don't actually know that much about the Hand, so the movie didn't make me want to scream massacre or anything :) Though Elektra herself isn't quite what she is meant to be in the comics, even by looks alone. Not a good enough movie for me to buy, but I don't regret watching it.

I don't know what I thought when I was picking movies for 'sick in bed' watching, but I picked up Deliverance as I have never actually seen it despite all the pop culture references it has even today. I'm sure I will regret it, but you only live once.

For those who don't know I used to go onto a place called UNEMush. A chunk of you know this as you did too... This place has come up in conversation with a few diff people on my fl who are curious what has happened to everyone.

Call me crazy, but I'm having some thoughts of doing one of the following:
* the cheapest and easiest one is to do a post specifically designated for people who know of what others are up to, to reply and say who their username was and what they are doing (for themselves and anyone they know about). If you have contact details for one you haven't looked up in awhile give them a poke and see what they are doing and tell us :)
* the second and most crazy one is the notion of putting forth the money to rent a space for a mush for three months and finding one of you techie type people to get a frame and put it online. NOt knowing how much this costs or the details in how hard this would be to do, I don't know how realistic this is. But it would allow us to all catch up and we could spread the word to other ex UneMushers so they can pop their head in and remember the good old times. I doubt I'd have the money to do it for more then a few months for sentimentality's sake anyways...

Well I just watched the season finale for supernatural that recently aired in the states (yes I am ahead of where australia is up to). It is one of the best season finale's I have seen for ages and has truly left me on a "gah!!! I want more!!!" note. It's ognna be an impatient pain in the arse wait for the next season. Don't worry, I won't say what happens and spoil it for people... but if you like the show you won't be disappointed.

On another note. I watched the 7 minute preview for x-men 3. I wanted ot throw my computer monitor out the window for fear of it's crapness. Don't get me wrong, it looks like a good movie, but from what is in the preview it shouldn't be aligned with the title of 'xmen' or the comics. I'm not an overly 'loyal ot the comics' nazi, heck the first 2 diverged in major ways yet I still like them and own them. This third one in the preview alone fucked over things from the comics so bad I was cranky. Question is whether I will go and see it and try and 'suppress' the fact they have aligned it with the books, will I get over the initial WTF HAVE THEY DONE!?!, or will I just boycott it on principle? FOr those who are interested I really really tremendously think that their casting of my favourite charactera Angel and PSylocke is all terribly wrong. Their looks I can deal with, the demeanours and stuff are soo not what the characters are though... bah.

next turn has been delayed... comp is undergoing down time and lack of programs on it due to upgrading to xp therefore reformat etc etc... bah. Will be out soon, prolly by tomorrow since I start work then (yay for public holidays)

Well people are off gathering in melbourne, gamers and non-gamers alike. So I thought I would do something that I haven't done literally in years. Those who know me will find this bizarre, considering how precious they are to me and the fact my child is still small. Others will find it 'blah' because they will have no idea what significance this has. Yet again another group will have memories because they have seen these things, and may have even given me some of them.

Oh, and drugmonkey, I had an odd thought earlier. I remember you gave me angel videos a few bdays ago... did you know I still watch those things. I'm surprised they havent' died, or the vcr hasn't died :) And at the time you werne't sure if I'd like them as a pressie :P

In other news I just signed Alex up for swimming lessons starting next week (yay him). Also he kind of broke his nose, well the dr couldn't really say that he did but also couldn't say he didn't, on Sat night. Poor monkey. Nose is all straight and healing well though.

Interview went really well actually. They don't have a position but they are having a meeting in a few weeks (so my request for a job had good timing) to discuss creating a position. If they do and if my references check out then I have it. I could gush about the details of the job, the pay and the perks.,... but it would bore people.


In other spanky news some know and some dont, have another interview on Monday for Junior Criminal Solicitor (todays was for family law). Also, another firm have contacted me about doing my work experience with them, but far as I can tell currently they want me ofr the work experience and no further, and they may not offer pay... we will see hwat happens I guess.

But yeah, the other day I thought getting the job I have the interview for on Monday would be ideal, but seriously I think if I got the job from today (provided they create it) it would shit all over the other one. The boss and the firm fuckin rock. I mean they rock to the point where I would stay with them as long as they are willing to have me.

Oh, but he has said he does want me to get my licence... not worried about my owning a car, but wants me to have my licence (can anyone say access to a car perk - though not sole use I don't think). Plus I get my own laptop and he is going to pay me first year solicitor level wage even for my work experience part! Oh I want this job to happen!
